Assembly video: How is AI used?

This learner video introduces artificial intelligence (AI) and explains how it is used in everyday life. It begins with a smart speaker responding to voice commands, showing how AI can follow instructions and respond quickly.

The video explains that AI is technology that can recognise patterns, solve problems and learn from information. It explores other examples, including satellite navigation systems that plan routes, streaming services that suggest programmes and tools that can create artwork, diagrams and tables. Learners are reminded that although AI can use large amounts of information to answer questions, it can still make mistakes and its responses should be checked.

The video encourages pupils to see AI as a powerful tool designed to support people and invites them to reflect on how they use AI in their own lives.
