Adaptive teaching

Pupils needing extra support

Could label their bar chart using slide 10 of the Presentation: Investigation: How does food affect muscle fatigue?; should use the Resource: Knowledge organiser: Science – Digestion and food to help them include the concept of digestion in their conclusion.

Pupils working at greater depth

Could add the other pupils in their group to their bar chart to make a direct comparison (the bars can be drawn over their data so that each bar looks like it has been divided into three sections); should include in their conclusion details any results that did not fit the pattern; could choose an extension activity relating to muscle fatigue or the enquiry cycle from the Resource: Stretch and challenge: How does food affect muscle fatigue?
