Adaptive teaching
Pupils needing extra support:
Could use the Knowledge organiser: Science – Sensitive bodies to help them answer the Recap and recall questions; could be chosen as a ‘princess’ so they can feel the marble and better understand the experiment and results; could plot pupils 1–3 on the block graph only.
Pupils working at greater depth:
Should test out the experiment themselves after completing their block graph, add their result to the Activity: Princess and the Pea results table in the final column and label the heading as ‘me’, then add to the graph on the Activity: How many towels will stop the marble from being felt?; could write a conclusion that includes their data.
