Could use the Knowledge organiser: Science – Comparing animals to help them answer the questions and identify the groups in the Recap and recall activity; could use the word bank on the Knowledge organiser: Science – Comparing animals to help them label the body parts on the Activity: Hare and tortoise comparison; could be provided with the time (144 seconds) for the tortoise as the number is over 100.
Pupils working at greater depth:
Could explain how they could find out what position they would finish in the race (time how long it takes to run 20 metres); could time how long it takes to run 20 metres and add themselves to their fastest/slowest timeline in their books; could answer if larger animals move faster than smaller animals (not always as the sheep and bee moved at the same speed).
