Pupils needing extra support: 

  • Could pre-watch or re-watch the Pupil video: Advent.
  • Could be assigned the wreath-making element of the Advent wreath activity; could refer to the Presentation: Advent candles to remind them of the different candles used on an Advent wreath.

Pupils working at greater depth: 

  • Could be assigned the candle element of the Advent wreath activity.
  • Could write a caption on a piece of paper for each candle placed on the wreath, providing key information about what the candle represents; should explain the symbolism of the wreath’s shape and evergreen foliage.
