Adaptive teaching
Pupils needing extra support
Should use the symbols on the Activity: Positive or negative to help sort the words; could focus on colouring all the positive words first; could watch the Pupil video: The Zoroastrian creation story again during the Main event or Wrapping up to help them recall key details about Ahura Mazda and understand why Zoroastrians believe God fights against bad things to keep the world good
Pupils working at greater depth
Should think of some of their own words they have used about God and justify where they would place them on the Activity: Positive or negative, explaining how these reflect Zoroastrian beliefs about good and bad; should compare the Zoroastrian idea of God fighting against bad things with other stories from the unit (for example, Daniel, Krishna, or Jesus) and discuss what this shows about how different people understand good and bad; could explain why some words might be positive and negative, giving examples from their own experiences or from other stories they have heard.
