Support and challenge

Adults can use the opportunity to discuss and/or support with: 

  • Setting up a packing for our journey area with suitcases, clothes and items suitable for different weather conditions. The children can choose a destination (landscape) they learned about and pack a suitcase with what they think they need.
  • Picking two contrasting labels and asking the children to sort the images into just two categories to start.
  • Prompting the children to create their own groups to sort the pictures into.
