Y5/6 (A): Unit 6: Planning a French holiday
The children learn to use a combination of present and near future tenses, and become familiar with holiday related vocabulary around packing a suitcase and planning a journey. They explore which countries they might visit and why and ultimately research and plan a holiday to France.

Unit outcomes
Pupils who are secure will be able to:
- Read and understand a simple story.
- Identify use of present and future tenses in reading and listening.
- Know how to form the near future tense.
- Speak in sentences.
- Integrate familiar language into a new context.
- Create a written paragraph including present and future tenses.
- Use a bilingual dictionary confidently.
