Exploring God and incarnation

This Religion and worldviews video supports teachers in delivering a unit that explores the big questions: What is religion? and How can worldviews be expressed? It introduces children to a range of beliefs and practices related to the concept of God and incarnation, focusing on Christian, Hindu, and Muslim worldviews. The video highlights how children make links with their own experiences while exploring how incarnation is understood and expressed, such as through Christian nativity stories, Hindu avatars and murtis, and Islamic art and names for Allah.

This video is part of Kapow Primary’s Religion and worldviews resources – god. It helps teachers prepare for addressing misconceptions and supports inclusive, respectful classroom discussions using simplified language, visual aids, and questioning. By encouraging dialogue and reflection, the unit develops children’s understanding of diverse beliefs and practices, while also giving space for their own views to grow. Suggestions for visiting places of worship and inviting local faith representatives help enrich the learning experience.
