Remixing HTML and CSS burgers

This Computing video supports teachers in showing the children how to develop their web design skills using Mozilla Thimble.

The video demonstrates how to revisit a burger project and experiment with changing colours, shapes and creating new ingredients using CSS code. It introduces key coding concepts such as pixels for measurement and hex codes for colour, helping the children understand how websites control appearance. The video guides teachers in modelling live coding and exploring the relationship between the index file and CSS stylesheet, supporting pupils in debugging and modifying code. The lesson builds coding confidence and creativity, supporting the children in personalising content and preparing them for the next stage, which is applying CSS knowledge to edit a real web page.
