Abrahamic religions

This Religion and worldviews video introduces teachers to the key content and concepts of the Year 5/6 unit where children explore the rich diversity found within and between worldviews. They reflect on big questions such as ‘How can we live together in harmony when we have different worldviews?’, ‘How can worldviews be expressed?’ and ‘Why do worldviews change?’

The video guides teachers through the structure of the unit, where children encounter varied expressions of Jewish, Muslim and Christian worldviews. They investigate how factors such as culture, tradition, migration and interpretation influence religious practices. Through real-life examples and first-hand accounts, children consider how people with the same worldview may practise their beliefs in different ways.

This video is part of Kapow Primary’s Religion and Worldviews resources. It helps teachers confidently lead the unit and lessons, encouraging children to ask meaningful questions and appreciate the diverse ways worldviews are understood and lived.
