Creating an Indian film sequence

This Music video introduces teachers to the final lesson in the Indian music topic, where pupils combine music, visual images, and movement to create a short film sequence. Using the provided video guide track with accompanying images of Indian street scenes, pupils perform their own musical ideas and add movement, building confidence in creative expression.

This video is part of Kapow Primary’s Music scheme – notes. It supports teachers by providing clear suggestions for movements and sounds, while encouraging flexibility and creativity. Filming the performance offers an opportunity for pupils to reflect on and critique their work, bringing the unit to a dynamic and collaborative conclusion before moving on to North American minimalism.
