Recognising and pronouncing the letter ‘a’ in Spanish

In this Spanish phonics video, pupils learn to recognise and articulate the sound of the letter ‘a’. The video introduces this phoneme through clear examples and guided pronunciation practice. Pupils are given repeated opportunities to listen and respond, supporting accurate pronunciation and building familiarity with frequently used words.

With engaging visuals and verbal cues the video encourages active participation through mouth mechanics, helping pupils associate sound, letter and meaning. It builds phonemic awareness and develops early reading and speaking skills in a foreign language. Through structured practice the video also reinforces confidence as pupils apply their learning in a supportive environment.

This video is part of Kapow Primary’s Spanish videos, which enable teachers and pupils to explore and develop their language skills.
