Habitats around the world

This Kapow pupil video is part of the Kapow Science scheme of work. It is designed for pupils and introduces the concept of habitats and the wide variety of places where animals live. The video takes pupils on a journey around the world, visiting grasslands, rainforests, polar regions, woodlands, deserts, and oceans. In each habitat, pupils discover the different animals and plants that live there and how they have adapted to survive in their environment.

From the warmth of the African savannah to the icy cold of the polar regions, the video encourages pupils to explore and compare different habitats. It also invites them to reflect on which environment they would prefer to live in, helping to build their understanding of biodiversity and the importance of every habitat on Earth.

The video is designed to be shown to pupils as part of Science, Reception, Reception units, Animal adventures, Lesson 4: Animal homes
