Celebrating differences and belonging

This RSE & PSHE video helps the children understand that everyone belongs and that people’s lives can look different in many ways. Through a range of everyday scenes, the children see people of different ages, backgrounds and families, as well as individuals enjoying hobbies and spending time together.

The video helps the children recognise that while people may live in different places and have different experiences, everyone is equally important and deserves to feel valued. The children are encouraged to appreciate diversity, understand that differences make us unique and recognise that we all belong in our communities. This supports the children in developing respect, inclusion and a sense of belonging.

This video is part of Kapow Primary’s RSE & PSHE KS1 videos, which enable teachers and pupils to explore growth and change and help develop personal, social and emotional skills, as well as an understanding of relationships and health education.
