A guide to the basic functions and tools of Sketchpad

This Design and technology video introduces the children to Sketchpad and shows them how to start a new project. Through a clear, step-by-step demonstration, the children become familiar with the workspace and learn where to find some of the basic drawing tools.

The video demonstrates how to use tools such as the pencil, shapes, text and eraser to create and edit simple designs. By exploring these features, the children develop confidence in using Sketchpad to communicate their ideas through computer-aided design (CAD).

This video is part of Kapow Primary’s Design and technology videos, which enable teachers and pupils to explore and make their own products.
