The call to prayer

This Kapow pupil video is part of the Kapow Religion and worldviews scheme of work. It introduces the Adhan, the special call to prayer for many Muslims. The Adhan reminds Muslims that it is time to stop what they are doing and take a moment to pray.

The call is made by the Mu’adhin and can be heard from a mosque, often through a tall tower called a minaret, or even through an app. The Mu’adhin makes sure the words are clear and loud so everyone can hear. This call is an important part of daily life for many Muslims and helps them feel connected to their faith, wherever they are.
