Introducing text-generated AI

This Computing video introduces Year 6 pupils to text-generated artificial intelligence, a tool that can create writing and answer questions in a way that sounds human. It helps the children understand how AI uses language patterns to generate helpful, natural-sounding responses.

The video explains how AI learns from large amounts of text and uses prompts to start conversations. The children see examples of how refined prompts lead to clearer answers, ideas and information. They also explore how text-generated AI can support learning by offering inspiration or helping with decisions. The video introduces using images with prompts to get more accurate results, supporting responsible and curious exploration.

This video is part of Kapow Primary’s Computing Year 5 and 6 videos, which enable teachers and pupils to develop their digital skills, explore key computing concepts and create their own digital projects.
