Understanding the properties of different materials through testing.
In this Science scheme of work lesson, you’ll be testing a range of materials to find out about their properties. You’ll investigate whether materials are, and how to carry out simple fair tests and describe your observations using scientific vocabulary. Use your results to help decide which materials would be best for making certain objects, like raincoats, windows or book bags.
