A rap about online safety
This Computing scheme of work video introduces online safety through a fun and engaging song designed especially for Key Stage 1 pupils. It helps Year 1 pupils understand how to stay safe when using tablets, phones or computers.
The song teaches key messages in a memorable and age-appropriate way, reminding children to think before they click, double-check before sharing, and talk to a trusted adult if something doesn’t feel right. Pupils also learn simple online safety tips, such as keeping personal information private, avoiding contact with strangers, and taking breaks from screen time.
The song gives pupils the tools to stay safe and make good choices online—whether they’re learning, playing or exploring.
This video is part of Kapow Primary’s Year 1 Online safety unit. It provides a friendly and accessible way for younger children to understand and remember how to use the internet safely and responsibly.
