Exploring UK coasts
In this Geography video, pupils are introduced to the coasts of the UK through a series of images showing different coastal landscapes. The video encourages the children to observe and identify features such as the sea, cliffs, rocks, beaches, islands, harbours, piers and ports.
The video highlights the difference between the coast (the land along the sea or ocean) and the coastline (the boundary where the land meets the water). Teachers can use the video to point out key features and support children in developing their observational and descriptive skills.
This video is part of Kapow Primary’s Geography Key Stage 1 videos, which enable teachers and pupils to explore places, environments and the connections between people and the world around them.
