Discovering China

This Geography video introduces pupils to China, one of the largest and most diverse countries in the world. It takes pupils on a visual journey across China’s landscapes and landmarks, from the vast farmland and the Great Wall of China to bustling modern cities like Shanghai and Beijing. Pupils also see natural wonders including the Yangtze River, the Huangshan Mountains, the Gobi Desert and the tropical beaches of Sanya, as well as traditional settings such as Furong ancient town.

The video helps pupils appreciate the variety of physical and human features in China, encouraging them to think about how geography influences the lives of the people who live there.

This video brings together striking footage and geographical knowledge, ensuring teachers feel confident and prepared to guide children in exploring the landscapes, cities and cultures of China.
