Adaptive teaching
Pupils needing extra support:
- Could use the Activity: Viking marketplace: support version during the Main event, which includes a suggested benefit for each item to help the children get started.
- Could be given the role of the farmer, which is the example model used on the lesson slides.
Pupils working at greater depth:
- Should make suggestions about how a traded item could specifically help the role of the person they are trading with.
- Could apply their knowledge of different trade routes when persuading others, showing how some goods were rare or more valuable because of where they came from.
