Could use a card template to cut the tile into a square of rectangle; could use a smaller piece of clay to roll into a tile to make it easier to manage; could re-watch the Pupil video: Applying skills in clay while they work to remind them of the techniques.

Pupils working at greater depth

Should be more ambitious with their tile design, trying out a few options before deciding what looks good; could create a pattern with symmetry or repeating elements that looks visually appealing.
