Why is this document useful?
Most of PSHE education is now statutory, and primary schools must also provide Relationships education. This is aimed at equipping students with knowledge and skills for a healthy life in modern Britain. It also helps them meet academic goals and become responsible members of society.
Ofsted now places greater emphasis on PSHE education, and schools must demonstrate that they meet statutory requirements. To support schools with this, the PSHE Association‘s Programme of study offers a starting point for the implementation of a PSHE curriculum. By using Kapow Primary’s RSE and PSHE scheme, you can ensure that you are providing full coverage of the PSHE Association’s programme of study, whilst benefitting from Kapow Primary’s expert knowledge, resources and supporting documents.
This document maps the learning objectives from the PSHE Association’s core themes: Health and wellbeing; Relationships; and Living in the wider world, against Kapow Primary’s RSE & PSHE scheme, to show which lessons (KS1 and KS2) provide coverage of each objective.
