Rebuilding Britain after World War 2

This History video introduces children to the Windrush generation. It explores how people from the Caribbean helped rebuild Britain after World War 2. It explains why they came, what life was like when they arrived and the challenges they faced, such as racism and finding work and housing.

This video is part of Kapow Primary’s History unit  What was the impact of World War 2 on the people of Britain? It encourages children to learn about the importance of the Windrush generation and to recognise their contribution to Britain.
