Teamwork in football

This Kapow pupil video is part of the Kapow PE scheme of work. It is designed for pupils and explores the concept of teamwork in football. The video begins by highlighting the importance of supportive communication, showing how calm and helpful captains set the tone for their team. Pupils then learn that teamwork involves sharing possession, recognising that no single player can win a game alone. They are encouraged to spot how the ball moves between players and understand the value of being selfless. The lesson ends by showing how successful teams give everyone a role, spreading out on the pitch and trusting defenders to bring the ball forward. Pupils are reminded to communicate, share, and create space for others in their own matches.

The video is designed to be shown to pupils as part of Physical education key stage 2, KS2, Football, Lesson 5: Teamwork
