This Music video supports children in developing their understanding of pop song structure through an engaging lyric video. Clearly labelled sections, including the introduction, verse, pre-chorus and chorus, help pupils identify the different parts of a song and understand how they work together to create a complete musical performance.

As the lyrics appear on screen, children sing along with a professional pop band, immersing themselves in the style, energy and conventions of pop music. The video encourages pupils to hear how the music changes between sections and to recognise the role each section plays within the overall structure of the song.

Through repeated listening and singing, children become familiar with the melody, lyrics and structure of the song while developing their vocal confidence, musical memory and sense of timing. The visual cues support pupils in following the structure independently and help them prepare for their own rehearsals and performances.

This video is part of Kapow Primary’s Music curriculum support materials, designed to help teachers develop confidence, subject knowledge and practical strategies when delivering the Four-Chord Pop unit.
