A guide to designing a product using different tools in Sketchpad

This Design and technology video shows the children how to use a range of tools in Sketchpad to design wearable technology. Through clear demonstrations, the children learn how to use drawing, fill and shape tools to create and develop their own design ideas.

The video demonstrates how different Sketchpad tools can be combined to communicate a design, including drawing outlines, adding colour and using shapes to create details. By exploring different approaches, the children develop confidence in using computer-aided design (CAD) software to produce their own designs for wearable technology.

This video is part of Kapow Primary’s Design and technology videos, which enable teachers and pupils to explore and make their own products.
