Suzanne is a former primary school teacher with a particular enthusiasm for art and design and promoting reading for pleasure. With a degree in textile design and a long term career in the creative industry, Suzanne has always taken enjoyment in sharing and teaching new art and craft skills to others. So, it was a natural progression for her to train to teach, gaining a PGCE with distinction in 2016.
Suzanne is passionate about bringing creativity to education and enjoys nothing more than creating engaging lessons that inspire children to love learning. Her teaching career has also seen her mentoring a School Direct trainee and leading PSHE across a five form entry junior school.
At Kapow, Suzanne is part of the content team, where she is heavily involved in the planning and creation for much of the Art content. Currently, Suzanne is involved in an exciting refresh of our art scheme, as well as a continuing project to develop new alternative themes for our art units. An example of this is our recently published Christmas and Easter lessons.
Suzanne lives and works in North East Hampshire with her husband and two older boys. When not in school or working for Kapow, Suzanne can often be found either enjoying movies, (probably crocheting at the same time!), attempting to practise yoga & pilates, or busy making and creating in her garden studio.
