Adaptive teaching
Pupils needing support
Should use the images on the Presentation: Fixing instructions as a visual clue to what the error could be; could read each command aloud with a partner to check if it makes sense before deciding whether it is correct or needs fixing; could record their top tip during the Wrapping up on a device rather than writing a sticky note.
Pupils working at greater depth
Should explain their methodology for spotting and correcting mistakes during the Main event, justifying why their approach is effective; could create an entirely new set of instructions (not using the lining up example), deliberately include an error and then challenge a partner to debug them.
