How does the Kapow Primary mixed-aged Art scheme ensure progression?
Our mixed-age scheme Art scheme is taught over two years as Cycle A and Cycle B. Lessons from the same key areas are included in both cycles to ensure progression. For example, in Art and design the National Curriculum core areas like ‘drawing’ and ‘sculpture and 3D’ are grouped together within a cycle. This ensures skills and knowledge progression no matter which order the cycles are taught.
