Pupils needing extra support

Could use the Resource: Genesis passages (support) to read from during whole class discussion and to refer to throughout the lesson; could use the Resource: Sentence stems (support) for completing the Activity: What were they thinking?; could choose one or two of the examples given on slide 2 of the presentation to add to their suffering snowflake in the Wrapping up.

Pupils working at greater depth

Could read the full text in a copy of the Bible rather than using the passages on screen; should suggest reasons for suffering based on the actions of God, Adam, Eve and the serpent.
