  • To design a display badge and/or stand using CAD (computer-aided design) software for an eCharm product

National curriculum

Pupils should be taught to:

 

Design

  • Generate, develop, model and communicate their ideas through discussion, annotated sketches, cross-sectional and exploded diagrams, prototypes, pattern pieces and computer-aided design

 

Evaluate

  • Evaluate their ideas and products against their own design criteria and consider the views of others to improve their work

Differentiation

Pupils needing extra support: Should be provided with the Activity: Badge shapes or slide 6 of the Presentation: Point of sale to support them with shape ideas. 

Can generate word and colour scheme ideas before idea generation. 

 

Pupils working at greater depth: Should be encouraged to work independently and justify their choices in greater detail. Offer a greater level of challenge by specifying further requirements of the POS badge or by providing the extension ‘POS stand’.
