Could use the Activity: Foods – support to group foods in the Attention grabber; could rewatch the Pupil video: What is a balanced diet? to support their discussion and choices when creating the character’s packed lunch.

Pupils working at greater depth: 

Could list some nutrients that the foods in their packed lunch contain; could identify any overlap between foods and drinks which can be go, grow and glow; should write a short sentence to explain why they have included each item in the lunchbox.
