Adaptive teaching

Pupils needing extra support

Could have coloured counters with ‘o’ and ‘a’ written on them for visual support; could create sound buttons to record and rehearse the sounds and build sequences if resources are available.

Pupils working at greater depth

Could be challenged to create longer sound sequences during the listening activity; could turn over their sheet and attempt the dictation activity without looking at the screen or prompt letters.
