Lesson plan

1. Recap and recall

This activity revisits learning from across the unit, particularly Lesson 3: Connecting peripherals, to help the children recall key knowledge.

Hand out the Activity: Technology mind map (one each) and both pages from the Resource: Picture glossary from Lesson 1: Components and peripherals.

Ask the children to complete the mind map using the prompt questions and picture glossary to help them recall what they have learnt.

Encourage the children to use the actions from previous lessons to help them remember the meanings of:

  • Peripheral.

  • Wireless.

  • Wired.

  • Connected.

Allow up to five minutes.

Collect the mind maps and use the responses to identify any knowledge that needs revisiting.
