Lesson plan
This activity revisits learning from Lesson 2: Crotchets, paired quavers and rests to help the children recall key knowledge.
Ask the children to stand in a circle. Whisper a simple rhythm pattern to the first child (e.g. rock-et, rock-et, star, star). Ask the child to whisper the rhythm to the next person in the circle and continue until it reaches the final child.
The last child says the rhythm aloud. Compare it with the original rhythm and discuss whether it stayed the same or changed as it travelled around the circle.
