Whole-class instrumental lessons
In line with the DfE’s 2020 Model Music Curriculum, Kapow Primary’s KS2 whole-class instrumental scheme is a progressive collection of 30 lessons, teacher videos and accompanying staff notation teacher skills videos.
Each unit focuses on music from a different part of the world and features a bespoke piece of music composed specifically for the scheme, including sheet music, performance and backing tracks.

Lorraine Cartledge
“You have revolutionised our music curriculum at our school. Thank you :)”
Amy Shaw
“Thank you for all of your hard work. It has really brought our Music curriculum to life. People actually teach it now rather than leaving it as the lesson that always got dropped. I have even seen music displays and videos shared on social media.”
Laura Gibbard
“Our staff love the lessons and the teacher videos.”
Jennie Harper
“The lessons are engaging and well-planned. There are a lot of opportunities for cross-curricular links. Website is easy to navigate and search function provides accurate and relevant results. Videos of a class setting help to provide examples of how to teach skills in lessons.”
Kendra Stevens
“There is clear progression, clear learning objectives and good coverage of all aspects of the music curriculum. Just sometimes need to adapt how to deliver the lesson. Very clear explanations and modelling.”
