Lesson plan

1. Recap and recall

Hand out the whiteboards and pens (one each).

Display the Presentation: Giving directions. The slide shows a series of directional arrows going from the red circle to the yellow circle.

Working in pairs, ask the children to produce a series of instructions to travel from the red circle to the yellow circle, using the vocabulary they learned in the last lesson.

Simone Haughey French specialist

Previously a generalist Primary teacher for 12 years, Simone now specialises in Languages. She is MFL Consultant and Languages Teacher at Robin Hood Primary. Her work with Mandarin Chinese resulted in the IoE Confucius Institute for Schools awarding her school with Confucius Classroom status. Simone is also a Confucius Classroom Manager.
