Lesson plan
Interpreting the video
Inform the children that they will rewatch and interpret the Pupil video: Paisajes de América del Sur (captions only) from the previous lesson. Explain that interpreting means translating orally (rather than in writing) from one language to another.
Play the video, pausing after each scene to allow the children to interpret each sentence. Invite the children to share their interpretations with the class after each pause. Use the Teacher note: Translations to confirm their ideas, reminding them there is often more than one way to express an idea when interpreting or translating.
