Adaptive teaching
Pupils who need support:
- Should refer to the Resource: Respectful behaviours poster to support their role-play in the Main event.
- Should use the Knowledge organiser for vocabulary support in the lesson.
- Could draw or write their ideas when changing the disrespectful behaviour instead of acting it out in the Main event.
- Could underline the disrespectful behaviours in their scenario to help them identify what to change in the Main event.
Pupils working at greater depth:
- Should explain the changes they make during the Activity: Behaviours in different settings, using the people or places in the scenarios. For example, Arjun should remove his shoes to show respect to Daniel’s family, as he is a visitor to their house.
- Could draw connections between respecting themselves and respecting others using the question: If I respect myself, how does that help me respect others?
