Adaptive teaching
Pupils needing extra support:
- Could consider and discuss who their trusted adults are before the lesson.
- Should refer to the sentences on the Presentation: Help sentences when playing Pass the problem game.
- Could be given a quiet table to draw a picture of a trusted adult and practise asking them for help instead of playing the game.
Pupils working at greater depth:
- Could justify their choices when deciding which trusted adult to ask for help.
- Should explain why it is important to tell more than one trusted adult if they still feel unsafe or unheard.
