Adaptive teaching

Pupils needing extra support:

  • Could use the Activity: Circle of care: support version with headings personalised to reflect their circumstances.
  • Could refer to the Resource: Family word mat to select appropriate vocabulary when describing family members.

Pupils working at greater depth:

  • Should compare similarities and differences between two families respectfully by identifying at least one similarity and one difference
  • Could extend their thinking by suggesting how to show respect for different types of families in school.
