1. Recap and recall

Hand out the whiteboards and pens.

Play the Link: Mission Impossible and ask the children to note on a whiteboard what they notice about the tempo of the music.

Repeat the activity, asking them to comment on the pitch and then the dynamics.

As they share their ideas, note the general recall of the key musical terms and clarify any misconceptions.

  • Tempo: Speed.

  • Pitch: Higher and lower notes.

  • Dynamics: Volume.
