Adaptive teaching
Pupils needing extra support
- Could use the Activity: Story map: support version, changing the food words only.
- Could use the Resource: Knowledge organiser as a word bank for support.
Pupils working at greater depth
- Could use larger numbers of items (see French: Mixed-age Year 3/4 (Cycle A): Lesson 1: Building numbers to 60).
- Could use colour adjective placed after the noun.
- Should make appropriate changes to the sentence based on their changes to the noun, e.g. creating a plural by adding ‘s’ or choosing the correct form for ‘to the’ according to the gender of the shop noun.
