Y3/4 (A): Unit 2: French adjectives of colour, size and shape

Assessment quiz and Knowledge catcher for use at the start and/or end of the unit to assess pupil progress.

Using colourful beanbags to introduce French colour words, children answer the question, 'What colour is it?' - C’est de quelle couleur?', and progress to responding accurately to verbal instructions to build a tower of coloured bricks.

Inspired by the animal collages of Matisse, creating compositions from coloured shapes they describe in French, recognising cognates and learning to ask for something politely.
