In this lesson children will use their hands as instruments in order to explore rhythmic patterns in order to build the sense of pulse, inspired by Steve Reich's 'Clapping Music'.

In the final lesson of this unit, the children use their knowledge about about rhythmic notation in order to notate their own composition, picking up from where they left off in the previous lesson.
