Lesson 3: Rhythms

Clapping the syllables in given words and phrases, pupils then work in groups to create rhythmic patterns and phrases to tell the story of The Three Little Pigs, before performing them whilst the story is being told

Learning Objectives

  • Working as a group to come up with a phrase for part of the story of ‘The Three Little Pigs’

  • Clapping the rhythmic patterns of spoken phrases

  • Clapping syllables in words

  • Thinking of my own phrases and clap the rhythm of these

  • Performing my rhythm whilst the story is being told using my voice and instruments
