Lesson 5: Dismantling a tablet

Building on their understanding of computer parts from Lesson 2, children compare the similarities and differences between different types of computers before drawing a diagram of a tablet with all of its components

  • To decompose a tablet computer

Pupils should be taught to:

  • Design, write and debug programs that accomplish specific goals, including controlling or simulating physical systems; solve problems by decomposing them into smaller parts
  • Use sequence, selection, and repetition in programs; work with variables and various forms of input and output
